DELETE
ACCOUNT
You can request deletion of your ChessDiary account and all associated data at any time. Once deleted, your games, analysis results, and profile are gone permanently — we cannot recover them.
WHAT GETS DELETED
- All games in your library (move sequences, metadata, coaching notes)
- Stockfish and AI analysis results for every game
- Your account profile (display name, email address)
- Linked Chess.com and Lichess account connections
- Your sign-in credentials and authentication record
WHAT MAY BE RETAINED
- Anonymised crash-report data held by Firebase — purged automatically within 90 days
No personally identifiable information is retained after deletion.
HOW TO DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT
Choose whichever method is easiest for you:
Sign in at chessdiary.app or open the Android app. Tap your name in the top-right corner and choose Delete Account. You'll confirm once, and your account is deleted immediately.
Send an email from the address associated with your account. Include your account email in the message. We will delete your account and confirm within 30 days.
In-app deletion is immediate. Email requests are processed within 30 days of receipt.
